Saul Santos Jr.
Pastor • Community Leader • Advocate • Nonprofit Founder
Saul Santos Jr. is a pastor, nonprofit founder, advocate, and community leader from San Antonio whose life has been shaped by faith, perseverance, service, and an unwavering commitment to helping others through both triumph and adversity.
For more than 20 years, Saul has dedicated his life to ministry, humanitarian outreach, mentorship, leadership development, and community advocacy. His journey has taken him from humble beginnings on the West Side of San Antonio to national stages of leadership and public service while also navigating personal hardship, professional battles, financial struggles, and seasons of rebuilding that profoundly shaped his character and mission.
Born into a strong pastoral heritage, Saul was deeply influenced by the faith and sacrifices of his father and grandfather. At just 15 years old, he preached his first sermon a moment that ignited a calling that would define the direction of his life. By age 18, he entered Bible College, and by 21, he was ordained into full-time ministry.
In 2002, Saul founded a nonprofit organization in Southern California dedicated to serving struggling families through food assistance, clothing drives, counseling, mentorship, and emergency support programs. These grassroots outreach efforts helped restore hope and dignity to thousands of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
Throughout the years, Saul has served in ministry, nonprofit leadership, banking, compliance, public outreach, human resources, marketing, and community development roles. His professional experience includes positions with Frost Bank, JPMorgan Chase, McDonald’s Corporation, United Way, Bexar County, and Nicholas & Barrera Law Firm. These experiences gave him firsthand insight into leadership, organizational systems, workplace culture, customer advocacy, and the real-life challenges working families often face behind closed doors.
Currently, Saul serves as Pastor of Fountain of Truth Church, where he focuses on spiritual leadership, mentorship, outreach, and helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult seasons with faith and perseverance. His ministry emphasizes restoration, healing, personal growth, and practical support for people dealing with emotional, financial, and spiritual struggles.
Saul’s leadership and service have earned recognition at both local and national levels. In 2004, he was invited to the White House by President George W. Bush in recognition of his ministry and community service efforts. In 2008, he became one of the youngest ministers in U.S. history to deliver the opening prayer before the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. He has also been honored by civic leaders, faith organizations, and community groups for his contributions to youth mentorship, humanitarian outreach, and family advocacy. But beyond the awards and public accomplishments, Saul’s story is also one of resilience through hardship.
Like many people, Saul has faced seasons marked by financial strain, emotional stress, housing instability, workplace conflict, personal disappointment, and the weight of balancing family, ministry, work, education, and public advocacy all at once. Rather than hiding those chapters, he speaks openly about them because he believes authenticity matters more than appearances.
In recent years, Saul has become increasingly outspoken about fairness, dignity, accountability, and the challenges everyday people face within powerful systems and institutions. His experiences have deepened his commitment to standing up for others, advocating for transparency and justice, and encouraging people not to give up during difficult moments in life. Even during some of the hardest seasons of his life, Saul continued working, studying, serving, mentoring others, and rebuilding. He believes some of the strongest people are not those who avoided adversity, but those who endured it without losing their faith, compassion, or humanity.
Beyond ministry and advocacy, Saul remains passionate about leadership development, education, public service, and strengthening communities through faith-centered outreach and practical support. His life’s mission continues to focus on building stronger families, safer communities, and a future rooted in integrity, hope, and compassion. At the center of Saul Santos Jr.’s journey is a belief that has guided him through every season of life:
“Service is not a position ...it is a calling.”
His story is not simply about ministry or recognition. It is about perseverance. It is about rebuilding after setbacks. It is about standing back up after difficult seasons. And above all, it is about continuing to serve others with faith, courage, and purpose — even while walking through storms of his own.
